Details
A five-meter circular ring appears to hover above the floor of the exhibition space, tilted at a subtle angle that generates an immediate sense of instability. The illusion is created by a semicircular tube mounted directly against a mirrored partition that intersects the room. The brass and steel form relies on its own reflection to complete the circle, producing a virtual ring that uncannily traverses the boundary between the actual room and the reflected space. By absorbing both the viewer and her surroundings into this doubled world, the mirror seamlessly merges physical reality with architectural illusion.
